Dear Prudence of Smithwood is our darling blue roan and tan, English Cocker Spaniel. She came to us on Valentine's Day, 2000. If you have vistited our other "spaniel" page, you will notice that she is not our first ECS. Prudence is, in fact, the niece of our very much loved amd missed, "Millicent-Most". Prudence is an aspiring model who has already a major publication under her collar. The following is an excerpt of a bio that appeared earlier this year. Name: Dear Prudence Birthday, January 2, 2000. Sun Sign; Capricorn Nick Names: "Stealer, Snowie, Kilroy, Bubba Jr., Prulicent, Prudie, Pupinstuff, Sassy Britches, Hot Shot, Your Royal Highness". What People Say Behind Her Back: to quote a friend, Prudence is "as bad as she wants to be." Prudence is so bad in-fact, that we taught her to say prayers (as you can see from her first picture). Turn off's are: the word "no" and the word "sit". Turn on's are: cream cheese, socks (especially used ones), snow deep enough to tunnel in, horse manure and kind words from her mommy. Favorite color is blue roan and tan. Favorite song is the popular funk tune, "Chew it, Chew it, Chew it 'till your satisfied". Favorite Artist, "Well, DogPhoto.com of course, but also, Jimmy Sasso, even if he does like cats." Favorite Film, Big Red Motto: "My Way or the Highway." Favorite food: stolen scrambled eggs! Favorite book is "The Virtue of Selfishness" by Ayn Rand. (She tried to read Atlas Shrugged but instead got frustrated with Dagney's indecisivness and chewed up that juicy, fat book of words. When confronted with the tattered remains, Prudence replied, "what do you do when the weight of the world is on your shoulders? Chew it!" Favorite television show, "that funny show where the Visla puppy runs right into the toilet paper. That always makes me bark and growl" Prudence's favorite activities are hiking on country paths, running through the woods, snuggling with her people in the wee hours of the morning, stealing, chewing and watching wolves on television. What's one thing about you that nobody knows? "I like Chihuahuas. What's one thing about you that everyone knows? "I can't keep my tail from wiggling." If you could be anyone in the whole world, who would you be? "Why would I want to be anyone else?" Who were your influences and why? "Madonna because she wanted to rule the world so she did. Mohamad Ali because he thought he was the best so he was. Millicent because she got away with all kinds of scams for nine, solid years. Hey, what a dog!" What are your goals for the future?
